Shockwave and Flash components are becoming a very regular feature of web sites through-out the world of the Internet. In order to view Flash components, the visitor to a web site needs to have Flash Player installed to their computer. This is simply downloaded from Adobe's web site and after a few minutes, everything is 'go'. However, Flash does involve slow download speeds for those of us that have dial-up modem connections, and it can become quite frustrating for the visitor waiting for an image to download (you may have experienced it here), only to find that it's an advertisement, or something they really didn't want to see anyway. But oftentimes the wait can be worth it. The Flash file that seemingly took forever to download may be a game for the kids, or a small, movie-like feature displaying the advantages/design/build quality of the product being promoted. Flash files are available for inclusion in a client's site - at a cost.

Because of the nature of the programme, the client needs to be aware of the time it takes the designer to produce a good quality and effective Flash file. Other decisions need to be made regarding placement within the site of a Shockwave or Flash file, and if it is going to help promote the product or service successfully. Our attitude towards Shockwave or Flash is: if you have to think about it for too long, then it's probably not worth the expense. But there again, sometimes it is - it really can be an exciting experience! We regard the pricing of Shockwave or Flash files as "on demand" and will quote you a price according to client requirements.
Here is an example of a small 17kb Flash file.
